The regular or basic Dimmer stat is designed for operation from normal input voltage of 240V AC and it can give output voltage anywhere between 0 to 240V or 0 to 270V AC as per requirement. There are three such dimmer stat connected electrically to star and mechanically to tandem, become suitable for operation from a regular input voltage of 415V 3Ph AC and can give output between 0 to 415V Or 0 to 470V as required.
Basically Dimmer Star is nothing but it’s a variable Voltage Auto Transformer which is partly or fully moulded in reinforced polyester resin. Dimmer Stat have very flexible and adjustable spinner so you can easily assemble the flush, table, or motorize type in single or three phase models. These models are designed to handle upto 120% of continuous load.
